On Thursday, October 9th from 5:30-8:00 PM, join us for our Fall Harvest Celebration at Hops on the Hill (275 Dug Rd, South Glastonbury)! Our group will have the large tent and surrounding lawn area for private use. As with our prior events in South Glastonbury, this should be a quick and scenic ~15-20 minute trip from Downtown Hartford along Route 2 (just as fall colors will be starting to crop-up in Connecticut!), allowing those interested to readily go from work to the brewery and then home. As with all our "All-Ivy" events, alumni from all Ivy clubs in Greater Hartford are welcome, modeling the "All-Ivy" events often held in places like NYC, Boston, the Bay Area and beyond. This event is FREE to attend! Additionally, guests will be able to enjoy craft beer, cider tastings, and glasses of wine for purchase from Hops on the Hill. There will also be complimentary BBQ food from CT Chowder Co. (who provided food for our spring event), plus additional food a la carte from CT Chowder Co.'s "Get Stuffed Food Truck," which will be on-site as well!
Beyond the food and drinks we'll enjoy, we'll be organizing teams for lawn games! Those who would like to join a team may provide their preferences (for games, for team members, etc.) during event sign-up!
Naturally, we're hoping for good weather for our event! While our tent will allow us to gather even if there is light rain, we have a tentative rain date of Friday, October 17th if we need it. And while we encourage bringing an extra layer if it's expected to be cool the night of our event, our tent will have heaters if we need them!
There is no dress code for this event – simply come as you are after work on October 9th for as much or as little time as your schedule allows. You are welcome to bring guests, too. Finally, for those who would like someone else to do the driving for this event, we'll help those interested find other event guests to share an Uber, Lyft, or other rideshare to or from Hops on the Hill.
We expect lots of interest in this event, so please RSVP as soon as you can (even if your plans are tentative!) so we can make sure we have you on our guest list!
